Purpose of the portal

This portal has been established to collect public comments, recommendations, research, policy proposals, and stakeholder submissions related to cannabis policy reform. The information submitted through this platform may be reviewed by authorized government agencies, policymakers, advisory committees, or designated review bodies involved in the cannabis policy reform
process.

Timeline of Submissions

The submission deadline is the Sunday 14th of June (14.6.2026) at midnight (Mauritian Time). Administrators reserve the right not to accept submission made after this deadline.

Instructions for Submission

Submission Requirements and User’s Responsibility
By submitting your information through this portal, you confirm and acknowledge that:

  • The information provided is true, accurate, and complete to the best of your knowledge.
  • Your submission does not contain defamatory, unlawful, misleading, offensive, fraudulent, or harmful content.
  • All supporting claims, statements, statistics, or recommendations included in the submission must be supported by verifiable evidence, references, research findings, or credible sources through links to access where applicable. Users remain solely responsible for the authenticity, originality, and accuracy of the content they submit.
  • Submissions may be uploaded in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or Portable Document Format (.pdf) formats only.
  • All uploaded documents and submissions will be subject to Artificial Intelligence (AI) detection and screening procedures.
  • Submissions determined to be wholly or substantially generated through AI tools, automated content generation systems, or similar technologies may be disqualified and may not be considered as part of the submission process.
  • Submissions may be made in English, French and Mauritian Creole only.

Information collected through this portal will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws of Mauritius. Submitted information may be:

  • Used for policy analysis and consultation purposes.
  • Users should avoid submitting confidential, sensitive, or personally identifiable information unless specifically requested.

Submissions made through this portal may form part of a public consultation process. Unless otherwise specified, submissions may be reviewed, quoted, or referenced in policy reports, consultation summaries, or public documents.

Acceptance of a submission does not impliedly or expressly signify that there is an agreement, endorsement, or adoption of its content by the reviewing body.

D. Intellectual Property
By submitting content through this portal, you grant the portal administrators and relevant authorities a non-exclusive, license to review, reproduce, analyse, and use the submitted material for consultation, policy development, research, and reporting purposes. This entails anonymising the identity of the persons submitting.

E. Right to Moderate or Reject Submissions
Portal administrators reserve the right to review, moderate, refuse, or remove submissions that:

  • Violate applicable laws or regulations.
  • Contain abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
  • Are irrelevant to the consultation process.
  • Pose cybersecurity or operational risks.
  • Are against the policy and/or not within the mandate of NADC
